How it All Began
Kaushal set out to make his mark in the world of digital marketing in 2001. He began helming various SEO (search engine optimisation) projects even before Google became popular in India, including working on AltaVista and Yahoo (popular 90s search engines). Having led various search marketing initiatives for his employers, including ICICI, Times Group, Myntra, etc., it was not long before this bright, young mind decided to start something of his own.
When Kaushal was working as SEO Head with the Indian fashion e-commerce giant, Myntra, he realised that there was a need for passionate, efficacious search marketing firms that would bring in high conversion rates for their clients while also increasing their brand value, i.e. offering them good online exposure. This was when he decided to take the plunge and started INFIDIGIT, an SEO agency that focuses solely on drawing in high growth of earnings and ROI through well-researched, cost-effective search marketing campaigns that are tailor-made to fit the client’s needs.

INFIDIGIT germinated with just one employee in the summer of 2017. Two years later, it now employs 40 budding, enthusiastic writers and editors, SEO analysts and project delivery managers. Kiran Washindkar, having previously worked with Housing.com and Quikr, also recently joined the INFIDIGIT family as the VP of Digital Marketing. And between him and Kaushal, INFIDIGIT’s top management has approximately 40 years of work experience to help them navigate the often-rough seas of the digital marketing work sector.
Kaushal has taken many a zealous SEO professional under his wing, hoping to tap into their potential for entrepreneurship. Along with Kiran, he initiated the process of mentoring his eager proteges and moulding them into intrapreneurs, i.e. individuals who are capable of handling all the work of a specific client or unit. A fun, learning-oriented work environment sans the usual restrictions that come along with a typical corporate setting has led to remarkable, quality work and many out-of-the-box ideas, he observes.
The Path Ahead
Having started with a handful of clients, INFIDIGIT now caters to many big brands, with multiple search marketing projects underway. The agency now boasts of a long client list that includes Myntra, Zee5, Zivame, ICICI PruLife, Dream11, Lifestyle, Max Fashion and Medlife across the fashion e-commerce, banking and insurance, entertainment and healthcare domains. Even Superbalist, South Africa’s largest fashion e-commerce venture, recently collaborated with them after going through their previous work in the domain and realising the importance of search marketing to sales.
Kaushal intends to make INFIDIGIT the most recognised name in the SEO space and ensure that the growth he has witnessed for his employees and clients is reflected in the agency’s future business trajectory as well. He elaborates, “We would love to expand to international geographies. We started this with Superbalist, a fashion e-commerce leader in South Africa. Singapore and other Asian locations too have huge potential.”
INFIDIGIT has always played an active role in shaping its clients’ online persona, including suggesting product and engineering changes to hack growth and conducting extensive data analysis to understand how visits to a client website can be increased every week.
