PS3 Lair soundtrack goes on Apple's iTunes, not Sony's Connect

Foster City (CA) - Sony has uploaded the soundtrack to its Playstation 3 game Lair on iTunes, and completely bypassed its own digital music store.

Developed by Factor 5, Lair is the first PS3 game to have an officially available soundtrack.  All 26 tracks included in the title's score are available for 99 cents each.

Interestingly, the soundtrack to the Sony-published game was not added to Sony Connect, a competing digital music store.

Sony announced this summer that it would ax Connect by the end of March 2008, but it is still open for new music to be added.  The move to put new content exclusively on iTunes could mean Sony has in fact stopped accepting new song requests for Connect.

PS3 owners are also able to receive a free MP3 download of one of the game's songs, "Battle for Asylia", for free from the console's online Playstation Store.
