Video: Evo 4G goes FullHDMI

The HTC Evo 4G boasts some pretty tricked-out specs, like a 1GHz Qualcomm processor and a 4.3-inch WVGA resolution capacitive multi-touch screen.

The Evo 4G also offers HDMI out – effectively bringing the mobile world closer to the day when a single device (smartphone or tablet) will be capable of fulfilling the role of a laptop or PC.

But if you are an Evo 4G owner, you can take immediate advantage of your smartphone’s capabilities with FullHDMI, an app that mirrors the Evo screen onto an external display.

Fortunately, the latest iteration of the app does not require root or custom kernels (runs on AOSP & Sense) and supports resolution changing, landscape/portrait, as well as custom screen mode.

However, FullHDMI does not attempt to disable HTC’s Gallery and Youtube’s HDMI output, or any other app trying to output to HDMI.

So, if you are on Sense and want to use these two apps, please disable the service so you don’t end up with double output over your HDMI.

FullHDMI can be downloaded for $3 here from the Android Market.
