This electric trike costs 40K

California-based electric vehicle company T3 Motion has announced the completion of its prototype called the R3, which was previously known as the GT3.

First details of the car were unveiled last summer, and the company is currently looking to patent their unique, two-rear-wheel design.

When we originally reported on the vehicle, it had some rather ambitious features, including an iPad central-dock for GPS navigation and other applications.

If pricing and functionality standards are as we previously covered, the R3 will have a top speed of 70 miles per hour and come equipped with an AC induction-motor powered by a lithium-polymer battery with a range of over 80 miles on a full charge.

And if estimates remain the same, the price of the plug-in electric vehicle will range somewhere between $35,000 and $42,00.
