RIM: BlackBerry Curve 8520 to arrive on August 5

San Francisco (CA) – RIM has announced that the BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone will arrive in T-Mobile stores on August 5. The Wi-Fi enabled device is expected to provide easy access to email, messaging (IM, SMS, MMS) and popular social networking sites, such as Facebook and MySpace.

The 8250 also features a full-QWERTY keyboard along with “rich” multimedia capabilities. In addition, the Curve introduces a touch-sensitive optical trackpad and media keys that facilitate the easy “control” of music and videos.

Other key specs include “out of the box” Mac compatibility, 256MB Flash memory, a 512Mhz processor and a 2 MP digital camera with video recording capbilities.

The 8520 offers Bluetooth (2.0) support, a comprehensive media player, access to BlackBerry App World and expandable memory via hot swappable microSD/SDHC memory cards (up to 32GB).

Finally, the new Curve is a quad-band world phone that supports the following standards and frequencies: EGDE/GPRS/GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz).
