Nexus One users plagued by poor 3G access

A number of Google Nexus One users have reported trouble connecting to T-Mobile’s 3G network.

According to the Dow Jones Newswires, the stuttering reception has generated over 500 comments on Google’s support forum.

Indeed, one Nexus user known as Mark Baird threatened to return his phone because it was incapable of staying connected to the network for more than a few seconds at a time.

“I’m at the point where I’m about to send this thing back. It ruins the whole experience if I can’t ever stay on 3G for more than a few seconds,” said Baird.

The company has responded to the numerous complaints by posting an official statement that acknowledged the “issue.”

“We are investigating this issue and hope to have more information for you soon. We understand your concern and appreciate your patience.”

Meanwhile, a Google spokesperson told Dow Jones that the poor coverage had affected only a “small number of users” and that Google was “working quickly” to resolve any problems.
