The Big Peddie endorses Xeno Pro network gaming card

San Francisco (CA) – Jon Peddie Research has apparently endorsed the Xeno Pro network gaming card designed by Bigfoot Networks Killer. According to Peddie, the Xeno Pro offers improved online performance by significantly reducing network latency.

“Measuring latency (via in game ping times) while running several different applications during gameplay showed improvements in online performance as high as 58 percent (37 percent average) compared to standard PC networking hardware,” shilled Peddy. “Most importantly, the product delivers clear performance advantages when faced with heavier network loads driven by intense multiplayer action sequences or even complementary online activities including voice chat, downloads or streaming.”

According to Peddie, the tests included running the same game through a single Internet connection – one with a standard system (control) and the other on a system configured with the Xeno Pro NIC.

Results, which indicated a latency improvement of 7-15 percent, were conducted by two labs that ran identical tests: one located in Austin, TX (Ed Tittel test labs) and one based in northern California (Jon Peddie Research Mount Tiburon Testing Labs). Games used in side-by-side testing included Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike Source and Left 4 Dead.

Peddie also measured gaming performance in Frames Per Second (FPS), with improvements measured as high as 27 percent (12 percent average).
