Android Jelly Bean-powered Rikomagic MK802 IV packs a quad-core processor

The stalwart MK802 is an Android-powered PC-on-a-stick designed to plug directly into the back of a TV.

As previously discussed on TG Daily, the device has been revamped multiple times, with the latest iteration dubbed the MK802 IV, courtesy of RikoMagic.

The little PC-on-a-stick – which runs Android 4.2 – is equipped with a Rockchip RK3188 ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. Looking at these naked pictures of the device, one can’t help but notice that it somewhat resembles the Tronsmart T428.

One of the only differences we know between the two devices at this point is that the T428 will run Android 4.1. Meanwhile, the MK802 IV features Mali 400 graphics, 8 GB of storage, integrated Wi-Fi, and integrated Bluetooth. The device is also equipped with a USB 2.0 host port and micro USB port for power.

Like most PCs-on-a-stick, the MK802 IV does offer users a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

It should probably be noted that Rikomagic has debuted an air mouse remote control for use with with the little PC-on-a-stick and other devices. The remote is dubbed the MK702 II and features a built-in keyboard on one side, along with number, volume, direction, and numerous other buttons on the other.

The remote control is also fitted with an integrated microphone and speaker – allowing for voice control and other features. Presumably, the remote can be used as a handset for making calls using VoIP. The remote pairs to devices via a USB receiver and has an integrated IR port. The remote is even compatible with PlayStation 3. Unfortunately, pricing and availability for the remote remain unlisted at this time.
