GeForce GTX 460M shifts Qosmio laptops into overdrive

Toshiba has souped-up its Qosmio X500 laptop series with Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 460M.

The supercharged laptop lineup – which starts at $1,300 – also features 1.5GB of discrete graphics memory, an Intel Core i5/i7 processor, along with an 18.4-inch diagonal HD TruBrite widescreen display, harman/kardon speakers and 5.1 Dolby surround sound.

“The Qosmio brand is all about bringing the extreme performance gamers and HD content creators crave without the extreme price,” explained Toshiba spokesperson Carl Pinto.

“With the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M GPU, [users] can now take advantage of a sophisticated graphics engine optimized for the newest and most demanding DirectX 11 games.”
