Amazon touts Kindle app for BlackBerry addicts

Amazon has introduced a Kindle application for BlackBerry addicts with itchy thumbs.

The new app allows Amazon customers to access over 420,000 books on a range of CrackBerry devices.

According to Amazon spokesperson Ian Freed, BlackBerry users have been clamoring for an indigenous app every since the company introduced its popular Kindle for the iPhone program in 2009.

iPhone envy? Sure seems like it to us!

Freed explained that the application offered BlackBerry addicts the ability to access their library of previously purchased Kindle books, automatically synchronize the last page read between Kindle-compatible devices and view bookmarks or annotations created on other Kindle-supported MIDs.
