Video: This handheld game console is powered by a Raspberry Pi

Veteran hardware modder Ben Heck has created a slick handheld gaming console powered by the $35 Raspberry Pi.

According to Digital Trends (via Liliputing), Heck had to make the Pi even smaller than it already for this project, which meant removing the Ethernet jack and moving the USB port.

Additional changes? Hooking up a small LCD display, adding a series of game controller buttons, installing a battery and voltage regulator, as well as building a custom case.

Of course, the uber-mini Raspberry Pi is no stranger to modding, as it has been used to power a number of DIY projects including a remote controlled car, wireless terminal, media center and a mini-arcade cabinet.
