Pipo M7 and M7pro tablets powered by Rockchip’s RK3188 SoC

Pipo is launching a pair of tablets powered by Rockchip’s quad-core RK3188 processor.

Of course these aren’t the first tablets to hit the streets using the above-mentioned SoC. As previously discussed on TG Daily, there are a number of additional devices fitted with the very same chip, including the Yuando N80. However, the new tablets from Pipo do boast some pretty respectable display sizes, which could work to differentiate them from the rest of the pack.

Both the M7 and M7pro feature 8.9-inch displays that differ in resolution: the M7 is set at 1280 x 800, while the more expensive M7pro weighs in at 1920 x 1200.

Both tablets promise wide viewing angles for the displays and integrated GPS, as well as five-megapixel cameras with autofocus and integrated LED flash. Connectivity options for both units include micro USB ports, mini HDMI port and a microSD card slot.

Unfortunately, there are a few key details that we still don’t know about the tablets, such as price and an exact launch date, although the SoC is pretty sweet indeed.
