LG’s Optimus G Pro gets detailed

A leaked slide of LG’s rumored 5-inch Optimus G Pro handset has been making the obligatory rounds this morning on mobile websites across the ‘Net.

According to Engadget, the slick looking smartphone boasts an upgraded 1,920 x 1,080 display and is powered by a 1.7Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor.

Additional specs include 2GB RAM, 32GB Memory, LTE a 3,000mAh battery, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2.4-megapixel forward-camera.

The device weighs in at 160 grams and measures 139 x 70 x 10.1mm. The handset will likely be powered by Google’s Android Jelly Bean (4.1) and seems destined for Japan’s NTT DoCoMo.

Meanwhile, Phandroid’s Kevin Krause notes that above-mentioned smartphone is unlikely to be the Optimus G2 which has been tapped to run the enigmatic Key Lime Pie, but rather, as Engadget reports, is simply just a revamped Optimus G.

“It could be that LG is taking a Samsung-esque approach with their G series. Just like the Galaxy S often receives several variants (mini, plus, etc.) before the next flagship model is introduced, we could see the same from LG with the Optimus G,” Krause added.
