This A10 is an ARM-powered Media PC

New Android mini-PCs powered by the AllWinner A10 ARM A8 chipset are hitting the market on an almost daily basis.

Several of the devices equipped with the popular AllWinner are actually mainboards without a proper enclosure, like the Gooseberry. However, more than a few boast a flash drive form factor, such as the MK802.

Recently, a new AllWinner A10-powered device dubbed the A10 Media PC tipped up in the UK. In addition to an ARM Cortex A8 processor, the system boasts 1 GB of DDR3 RAM, which is more than the typical 512 MB we typically see paired with the AllWinner chipset.

It should be noted that the 1 GB version is actually follow-up to a previous iteration of the device, which hit the market only last month with 512 MB of RAM. Other than the additional RAM, the new 1 GB version features the same hardware as the 512 MB model, namely 8GB NAND, an SD memory card slot, dual USB ports, an Ethernet port and HDMI output. The device also ships with a wireless remote control and run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

This little machine is intended to be a tiny HTPC for your living room, so you can easily hook up a mouse and keyboard to the USB ports. Of course, you should be able to run Linux on this device rather than Android – if you so choose.

The A10 Media PC is currently available for $110 here.
