Canadian PC manufacturer Eurocom has published specifications of its upcoming Phantom notebook, which will include Intel’s upcoming Prescott CPU with 64-bit extensions. According to a specsheet published on Eurocom’s website, the notebooks apparently will be available in June with processors up to 3.8 GHz and target the desktop replacement segement. Additionally, the device will feature 1 Gigabyte RAM, ATI M24 or Nvidia NV41 graphics with 256 MByte memory, HDTV output and PCI Express, one or two harddrives with 80 GByte capacity each, a 17 inch display and a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port. An interesting touch is a built-in PC camera with a resolution of 1.3 Megapixel.
A spokesperson declined to comment on the specsheet and noted that this information was published ‘temporarily’ to provide information to some of Eurocom’s customers.
