Court nixes FCC rules on line-sharing, state regulation

The U.S. Court of Appeals threw out the local line sharing rules while also eliminating the state’s say in how new companies can compete with established rivals. The court also affirmed the FCC’s rule to phase out unbundling of advanced telecommunications services over the next few years.
