Apple sued over 'Tiger' name

Apple Computer is being sued by U.S. e-commerce site TigerDirect.com for infringing on its trademark with the launch of the latest version of Mac OS X, which is code-named “Tiger.”

Tiger Direct Inc.’s lawsuit claims Apple’s use of the word “tiger” will mislead customers. The action came just a day before the software’s highly publicized launch tonight.
