Higher-speed broadband knocking at your door

With Verizon’s broadband-over-fiber FiOS service expanding into their territory, broadband cable providers Cablevision and Adelphia are fighting back with their own offerings. Customers in Cablevision’s New York metropolitan area will be able to use Narad Network’s broadband access network to subscribe to a 100M bps symmetrical data service, while Adelphia’s Extreme High-Speed Internet gives users in Leesburg, Virginia up to 16 Mbps downstream and 2 Mbps upstream.
