Prices of 802.11a/b/g chips hit new lows

The prices of 802.11a/b/g WLAN integrated chips have declined to as low as $3.0 recently as more Taiwan-based IC companies such as Ralink Technology, Realtek Semiconductor, Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) and Via Networking Technologies, have started ramping up production of WLAN solutions that support the 802.11a/b/g standard, according to market sources.
