Infineon’s supervisory board accepted the resignation of its memory chip boss on Sunday, leaving a hole at the top of the German chipmaker and complicating any plans to sell its biggest unit.

In the latest of a string of high-level bribery affairs gripping Germany, Infineon’s Andreas von Zitzewitz resigned over allegations of corruption just a day after prosecutors raided Infineon’s offices and executive homes on Friday.
