Microsoft’s lawsuit against its former executive Kai-Fu Lee and his new employer Google is a “charade” meant to frighten other Redmond workers into staying put, Google and Lee said in court papers filed this week.
The court filings are part of an increasingly personal spat pitting two of the tech world’s titans. Google and Microsoft compete in a number of areas including Internet search, and are now locking horns over Lee, who was vice president at Microsoft and founded the software giant’s China research lab.
