Samsung introduces the Galaxy S III Mini

Samsung’s Galaxy S III is currently one of the most popular Android smartphones on the market – and the introduction of the Galaxy S III Mini will only help increase the brand’s popularity.

Personally, I love my Samsung Galaxy S III, even if the smartphone is a bit larger than other handsets out there.

The specs are pretty sweet too, although those have been understandably somewhat pared down to accommodate the Mini form factor, which will likely appeal to a wider audience, both in terms of price and size.

Indeed, the “compact version” (121.55 x 63 x 9.85 mm, 111.5 g) of the S3 runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface on top.

Key specs and features include a 1GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, a 4-inch WVGA (800×480) SuperAMOLED display and a 5MP rear camera, along with 8 or 16GB of internal storage and microSD support.

Additional specs? 1GB RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, accelerometer, digital compass, proximity and gyro sensors and microSD storage up to 32GB.

Unfortunately, pricing and availability have yet to be announced, but we will keep you posted.
