Video: Google showcases Nexus 7 tablet

Google unveiled its long-awaited indigenously designed Nexus 7 tablet at I/O 2012 today in San Francisco, California. 


The device – which runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean – is manufactured by industry heavyweight Asus.





The Nexus 7 tablet boasts some pretty sweet hardware specs indeed, such as a quad-core Nvidia Tegra processor, 1.2-megapixel front camera, NFC capabilities and a 1280 x 800, back-lit IPS LCD display.

The device is priced quite competitively (watch out Amazon Kindle Fire!), with the 8GB model retailing for $200 and the 16GB going for a cool $250.
