OEMs considering both ARM and Intel processors in notebooks

While UK-based IP firm ARM is aggressively targeting Intel's turf in the netbook market with its ARM-based processors, notebook makers and vendors are considering offering hybrid solutions that would combine the best of both worlds concerning optimizing the features offered by Intel and ARM. Hybrid solutions would include both an Intel CPU and an ARM-based processor, with the energy-efficient ARM processor being used for Internet applications such as email and web browsing, while the Intel processor would be used for power-intensive office productivity applications.
