Ouya lines up 10 new console games

When we last checked in on the Ouya, the company had confirmed that it would be shipping the developer version of its long-awaited Android-powered console on December 28.

As you may recall, the dev system is priced at a cool $800, which is quite a far cry indeed from the $99 consumer version slated to hit virtual store shelves in March. The above-mentioned kit includes an Ouya console, two controllers and an ODK (SDK).

Well, December 28 is just around the corner, a date Android devs and Ouya backers are not likely to forget anytime soon.

In the meantime, Ouya has added the following 10 games to its lineup: Fist of Awesome, MechKnight Chronicles, Syder Arcade, KidElectro, Space Runner, Legend of Dungeon, iMech Online, Dusty Revenge, HolyShield! and Starbound.

The Ouya console runs Android Jelly Bean (4.1-4.2) and is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 chip. Additional specs include 8 GB internal flash memory, 1 GB RAM, HDMI (1080p), Nvidia ULP GeForce GPU, USB 2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth LE 4.0, Ethernet port and a wireless controller.

It should be noted that the project managed to raise an impressive $8,596,474 on Kickstarter, with the full support of 63,416 backers.
