An Arkansas teenager says he never wants to see his mother again after she altered his Facebook page, and has accused her of harassment.
Denise New was irate after reading that her son had driven home at 95 mph one night because he was angry with a girl, so she posted a few choice items of her own and then changed his password.
But her son Lane claims that what she wrote was slanderous – and has gone so far as to ask the court to order that she have no contact with him from now on.
According to AP, he told the court, “Denise first hacked my Facebook and changed my password. She also changed the password to my email so I could not change it. She posted things that involve slander and personal facts about my life.”
Denise New says she was only trying to be a good mother.
“The things he was posting in Facebook would make any decent parent’s eyes pop out and his jaw drop,” she said. “He had been warned before about things he had been posting.”
She said the lad had left his account open on her PC, so her actions hadn’t amounted to hacking.
Lane New has since opened a new Facebook account.
