Nintendo reveals game line-up for 3DS launch

Gamers who have been curious about what games will be available for Nintendo’s new 3DS handheld system when it goes on sale next month can stop wondering, as the official “launch game” list is here.

The 3DS will hit store shelves on March 27 at a price of $250. There’s already mixed reaction about the price – it’s the most expensive handheld Nintendo has ever released. Nevertheless, anticipation remains at a fever pitch as hardcore gamers clamor for a new piece of gaming hardware. The last major system to be released was in November 2006, when the PS3 and Wii came out.

Since then, there have been no brand new game systems, which is almost unheard of considering how healthy the games industry continues to be. So, there’s a lot of reasons to be interested in the 3DS. And here’s about a dozen more:

    * Pilotwings Resort

    * Steel Diver

    * nintendogs + cats

    * Super Street Fighter IV 3D

    * The Sims 3

    * Madden NFL Football

    * Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D

    * LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

    * Ridge Racer 3D

    * Super Monkey Ball 3D

    * Bust-a-Move Universe

    * Samurai Warriors: Chronicles

    * Asphalt 3D

    * Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D

    * Rayman 3D

    * Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars

These games will all be available on launch day, giving the system a pretty solid lineup.
