The Gorillaz seem to be feeling the holiday spirit as they have announced the release of their highly anticipated new album for Christmas Day. Famed for being entirely recorded on an iPad, the mysterious album had little planning involved and was literally recorded in about a month while on the road during a North American tour. Gearing up for the Grammy Awards? The 2011 Grammy Award nominees were announced this past Wednesday, with Eminem leading the pack with a total of 10 nominations across categories including Best Album, Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Transitioning from their typical experimental sound, Peter Bjorn & John will release their sixth studio album on March 29th via StarTime International going back to their pop roots style. Also, the Mountain Goats confirmed that they got help from former Morbid Angel guitarist and current Hate Eternal frontman, Erik Rutan, on their upcoming album.
