Microsoft puts the kibosh on Kinect sex

Just two short days ago, ThriXXX announced that it would be the first company to offer a sex simulation game for the controller-free Xbox 360 Kinect platform.

Unsurprisingly, Microsoft moved swiftly and efficiently to quash ThriXXX’s premature fantasy before it could become a sultry reality.

In a statement to IGN, a Microsoft representative said, “Xbox is a family friendly games and entertainment console and does not allow Adults Only (AO) content to be certified for use on its platform, and would not condone this type of game for Kinect.

“[Of course], this isn’t the first example of a technology being used in ways not intended by its manufacturer, and it [obviously] won’t be the last. [We] did not authorize or license its technology for this use.”

It’s no wonder that Microsoft squashed the game considering the main objective was to manipulate the onscreen figure and grab some tatas.

When first announced, industry analysts wondered if Microsoft would allow the used of Kinect in commercial products.

However, representatives from ThriXXX (initially) countered the skeptics by saying “Everything is done offshore in Europe, where [Microsoft] is being lambasted by the courts for [anti-competitive] behavior. If we have to, maybe we would give it away for free as part of the open-source community efforts, but we don’t know yet where any of this will lead.

Unfortunately, ThriXXX has been unable to keep Microsoft at bay and will indeed have to dissolve the project or face legal proceedings.

Ahhh well.
