Rekall lets you choose your experience

I really enjoyed watching the original Total Recall which debuted way back in the 90’s and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even after all these years, it is still one of my favorite cheesy old school science fiction films.

Frankly, I can’t help but hold out some hope that we’ll see a remake of Running Man to go along with the rebooted Total Recall starring Colin Farrell which hits theaters in August. In the meantime, I guess I’ll have to make do with WelcometoRekall.com, a site set up by the studio that allows Facebook users to create their own version of the Rekall memory implantation process.

You can try out the feature by visiting the website and selecting one of ten different dream experiences.

When users log in with their Facebook information, the website creates a video detailing the virtual trip based on the selected experience. The coolest part? The video uses your own name, along with pictures and names of other friends on Facebook.

As noted above, there are ten different dream/memory experience you can choose for your video. Doing so also allows you to participate in an official Rekall contest. For example, if your chosen experience is the Sports Anchor, you could win a day at ESPN headquarters. Rock Stars could win a day with Green Day, while the Fashinosta meets Heidi Klum in LA along with her stylist.

Of course, the Secret Agent sounds most interesting to me, as the winner gets to visit the Stiletto Spy School or MI6 Academy.
