Ridley Scott to debut full Prometheus trailer

So far, Ridley Scott has only shown us a couple of short teaser trailers and posted a few images snapped during the production of Prometheus.

Anticipation is clearly high for genre fans, as the movie, which takes place in the same universe as Alien, is probably one of the most anticipated in 2012.

Fortunately, Collider tells us that Scott himself is slated to premiere the first full trailer for the film on March 17th at the AMC Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California, which will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A hosted by none other than writer/producer Damon Lindelof.

For those of who can’t jet into Anaheim (which is probably most of us), the trailer debut and subsequent Q&A will be available for live streaming on AMC’s website.

Potential questions for Ridley Scott can be submitted with the hash tag #amcprometheus via Twitter, or on the AMC Theatres Facebook page.

Prometheus, which explores its own mythology and is not directly linked to Alien, will be in theaters on June 8, 2012 via 20th Century Fox.

The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including the sultry Noomi Rapace (from the original Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green and Idris Elba.

Prometheus is directed by Ridley Scott and written by Jon Spaihts, along with Damon Lindelof.
