A full-blown Halo movie is something we’ve been writing about for a long time now, and like Ghostbusters 3, it seemed like we’d be writing about it forever, but it would never come to pass. Well, good news finally came through with a third ‘Busters flick, so why not a Halo movie some day?
While a Halo flick won’t be in the theaters any time soon, the Xbox series, actually two series, will be coming very soon. As Collider reminds us, there is Halo: Nightfall, and there will also be Halo 5: Guardians.
The series will be out on November 11 along with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and the first installment of Nightfall will be shown for HaloFest livestream on November 10.
We had forgotten that Ridley Scott is exec producing the Halo series, which makes us hope there will be some strong production value and quality.
With a franchise like Halo, maybe doing episodes of it online is a better situation than trying a full blown movie that could end up costing a fortune. Will the Xbox series be a game changer? We don’t have long to find out.
