Could Christopher Nolan Go Back to Superheroes One Day?

While Interstellar has been receiving somewhat mixed reviews (mostly great from what we understand, but the ending is a bit disappointing), we’re sure it will do well, and we’re still big fans of Christopher Nolan. We figured that with The Dark Knight Rises he was done with superhero flicks, or is he?

Nolan told Time Out, “Never say never,” although a big point with The Dark Knight Rises is this would be his last Batman movie, and he’d never go back. Here’s what Nolan told Time Out in total: “I think I had a great experience with the superhero genre and got to explore a lot of things, but it was a good decade of my life and I find it hard to imagine returning to it. But never say never.”

We honestly can’t imagine either Nolan or Christian Bale going back to the Batman, or any other superhero, universe unless they’re really hard up, and we applaud the fact that Nolan did the unthinkable in Hollywood, making a completely original story not based on a graphic novel, or a tired old movie or TV show with Interstellar. Whether the movie thrills audiences or falls short of expectations, we should definitely applaud the guy for that alone.

In other Interstellar news, The Wrap tells us that through the ticket site Fandango, one lucky moviegoer will go into space. Like winning the Lottery, if you’re lucky enough to win the right ticket, you’ll go up into the galaxy on the XCOR Lynx Mark II spaceship. It will take the lucky passenger sixty-two miles above the planet and would normally cost you $100,000.
