Pioneer Corporation announced today the VR-RT7H, the company’s first combination VHS/DVD recorder with built-in harddrive and a range of dubbing features.
Pioneer’s first 3-in-1 combination recorder is equipped with One-button auto dubbing feature, which allows converting video archives of VHS to DVD. The DVR-RT7H also contains other DVD recording features, such as up to 24 hours of continuous recording onto a single-sided Dual Layer DVD-R (DVD-R DL) disc and a maximum of 100x
dubbing (HDD to DVD-R). The DVR-RT7H is scheduled to be offered in the Japanese market in late June with no retail price suggested so far. The manufacturer did not say if the player will be available in the US. (THG)
