Taiwan vendors set to ship out HDMI-supporting TVs

With the FCC aggressively pushing TV vendors to begin supporting DTV broadcasts in the US, Taiwan-based home appliance makers such as Teco Electric & Machinery, Kolin and Polyvision plan to roll out large-sized flat-panel TVs with built-in high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) support this August or September, according to the companies.
