Plantronics announced the Pulsar 590, a Bluetooth stereo headset that can be used for multiple applications. According to the company, the device delivers enough quality to be a stereo headset for music players and PCs, but also can be used for phone calls through a cellphone or PC. Users can switch between different devices by simply pressing a button.
Plantronics also offers a Bluetooth audio adapter that equips devices with a headphone jack, including MP3 players such as Apple’s iPod, and multimedia devices, such as Sony’s PSP, with Bluetooth compatibility. Battery performance for the system is rated at up to 12 hours of talk time and 10 hours of listen time.
Pricing for the 590 is set at $150. Including the Bluetooth adapter, the price climbs to $200. (THG)
