Congressman asks for help: Redesign Congress online

/

Washington (DC) – A congressional guest Blogger on the O’Reilly Radar website, Mike Honda (Democrat, see honda.house.gov) took the opportunity to ask for suggestions and guidance on how to better utilize technology and get the public involved within the United States government.

Honda’s guest blog was an open call for individuals to provide their thoughts, and suggestions on what should be made accessible and also how data and technology could be utilized to shape our nation going forward.

Honda mentions many ongoing efforts, including allowing more access to legislative databases and bringing the government into a “Web 2.0” sphere. He says this would allow collaboration between congress and the public via different technological methods.

Individuals can participate via a survey, Twitter, or by merely commenting on the article. Individuals are urged to get involved, say their piece and aid in the launching of our government into a more web based, and tech atmosphere.
