Taipei – DigiTimes has posted commentary by Josephine Lien wherein she asks if the Taiwan DRAM industry deserves a bailout rescue.
She says, “Apparently, the number of DRAM makers in Taiwan is a bit too many compared with one in Germany and two in Korea. Now Taiwan must consider these issues: What is Taiwan DRAM makers’ worldwide competitiveness? How can Taiwan’s DRAM industry move forward in a positive direction over the next 5-10 years? These issues should all be considered before the government can decide what it will do to save the DRAM industry.”
