Universal Studios has posted a number of trailers along with a bonus feature list for its upcoming home release of the sci-fi film.
The Bourne Legacy is a high production value action film with lots of explosions and gunfights. However, the movie is only improved if you’re already familiar with the lore of the Bourne franchise, as the latest adaptation serves as a slightly more cerebral approach to the story, which clarifies certain points that were weak in the first three films, all while deepning the lore of the story-world immensely. You can read our full theatrical review of the film here.
As expected, the blu-ray will be filled with hours of special features, including deleted scenes and making-of type documentary. The first video below teases some of the behind-the-scenes footage on the discs with an explanation of what it took to get Rachael Wiesz on a motorcycle with Jeremy Renner:
Another preview video presents lead actor Jeremy Renner discussing protagonist Aaron Cross, and what it was like to play that part and be a part of the Bourne franchise:
There is also this trailer, which is a recut version of the theatrical trailer with the DVD& Blu-ray tag at the end:
The official synopsis of the film is as follows:
The Bourne Legacy pulls back the curtain on a government secret even darker than Jason Bourne. When Bourne exposes Operation Treadstone at the end of The Bourne Ultimatum,he sparks a bonfire that threatens to burn down decades of research and development into the building of better spies and warriors. In The Bourne Legacy, audiences discover that there are actually a variety of covert intelligence programs – all of which now feel the threat of exposure. On the verge of having their conspiracy revealed, members of the government’s intelligence community will stop at nothing to erase all evidence of their top secret programs. With his life in jeopardy, agent Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) must use his genetically-engineered skills to survive the ultimate game of cat-and-mouse and finish what Jason Bourne started.
