INQ phone will be unofficial "Facebook phone"

So we know that Facebook doesn’t want to print its name on any mobile phone, probably because it doesn’t want to show favoritism and then discourage other manufacturers from implementing deep Facebook features. And that’s exactly what INQ is now doing.

The manufacturer has just introduced a new phone with a full Qwerty keyboard, Android 2.2, and a 2.6-inch touchscreen. It’s expected to be on the inexpensive side, making it one of the few to have announced a strong Facebook initiative.

The INQ Cloud Q will have seamless access to features like their Facebook Wall, friends, messages, and chat. Unlike other phones that have a Facebook app, this phone will have Facebook connectivity embedded at the root of its infrastructure.

It has also been working with Facebook, even though it is not an official collaborative phone between the two. Facebook has merely been offering aid in making the device as Facebook-friendly as possible.

“The INQ Cloud Q will bring Facebook to people with a single touch while they are mobile and demonstrate the power of socially aware devices. INQ has built an innovative and easy to use set of features that enable people to use common Facebook interactions such as viewing photos and videos, chat, message, and check-in to their favorite businesses all from the home screen,” said Facebook head of mobile business Henri Moissinac.

The Cloud Q is slated for launch in the third quarter of this year. It will be available at Best Buy.
