Singapore Airlines to auction seats on first A380 flight

Singapore City (Singapore) – Singapore Airlines will auction off seats on its inaugural Airbus A380 flight from Singapore to Sydney Australia.  The eBay auction will start on August 27 and end on September 10th.  Proceeds for the October 25th flight will be donated charity.

Singapore will auction seats in all three classes, economy, business and first-class suites.  Yes you heard that right, this plane has suites.  The seats will be sold on a one-way basis, so round-trippers will need to win two bids.

The Airbus A380 can fit up to 555 passengers, but Singapore Airlines has modified its planes to fit 471 people.

You can visit the auction page here.
