Samsung is selling its new SPH-W2100 phone in Korea which does almost everything except take out the trash. The phone can make video phone calls, play MP3s and watch terrestrial T-DMB video from television stations. The video calls are done at 1.8 Mb/s and the phone can even play MP3s while watching the video.
Terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting and video phone service is currently offered through South Korea’s KTF and SK telecommunications companies. T-DMB offers television, radio and data channels compressed in either MPEG2 or MPEG-4 (H264) formats.
The SPH-W2100 is currently only available in Korea for around $835. There is no word if the phone will ever come to the USA.
