Sandisk aims to be number two behind Apple in MP3 players

On the sidelines of the exhibition of its latest MP3 player Sansa e200 at the ongoing Computex Taipei 2006, the recently-appointed managing director for Sandisk in the Asia-Pacific region Gavin Wu explained that the company is aiming to rank as the number two MP3 player vendor behind Apple. Although Apple has a solid 60-70% market share of the MP3 player market, Sandisk has seen encouraging sales of its Sansa e200 in North America, following its April launch.
