One television to rule them all: LG rolls out 71" plasma display

LG has introduced a 71″ plasma monitor. The MW-71PY10 can display full high definition video at 1920 x 1080 pixels in progressive format. It also has a 1200:1 contrast ration and offers picture-in-picture and split screen viewing. Digital HDMI and DVI inputs, as well as analog composite and S-Video ports, are built into the set. In addition, computer users can play their ultimate version of Quake with an RGB PC port.

Instead of going directly to retail stores, LG only allowed invited guests to purchase the display at two events in West Los Angeles and New York City. Hopefully, the LG MW-71PY10 should be available to general consumers soon; pricing has not been announced.
