Buffalo Technology today announced it is adding 2 TB versions of two of its popular TeraStation networked storage products.
The TeraStation Home Server will now be available in capacities of 1.6 TB (HS-D1.6GL/R5) and 2 TB (HS-D2.0GL/R5), in addition to the existing 1 TB model (HS-D1.0TGL/R5). The product is one of the first DLNA certified NAS devices and includes media server software from Mediabolic. It also includes four USB 2.0 ports, a built-in USB print server and a file server.
A 2 TB model (TS-2.0TGL/R5) is also being added to Buffalo’s TeraStation Pro line. The Pro is a business-class NAS device that now features Active Directory member support. Other features include two USB 2.0 ports, four serial ATA hard drives, lockable front panel, and small LCD status display.
The 1.6 TB and 2 TB TeraStation Home Servers will be available in May at estimated street prices of $1500 and $1900 respectively. The 2 TB TeraStation Pro (TS-2.0TGL/R5) is available now at an estimated street price of $2000.
