StreamCast sues Skype

StreamCast Networks, creator of the Morpheus peer-to-peer communications software, has hit eBay’s Skype unit and its two founders with a lawsuit alleging violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

According to the docket in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, StreamCast Networks, which is based in Woodland Hills, Calif., filed the complaint on Jan. 20 against defendants Skype Technologies, Skype founders Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis and nine other defendants.
