Samsung will show off their latest hard-drive equipped mobile phone at the upcoming Cebit show in Germany. The Samsung SGH-i310 phone will have an internal eight gigabyte hard-drive and run the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. In addition to playing music and videos the phone can be used as an external hard disk.
The i310 weighs 120 grams or around 4.2 ounces and comes in the familiar “candybar” form factor. A built-in two megapixel camera can record MPEG4 videos that can then be played back on the two-inch 240 by 320 pixel screen. Music fans will probably love the new phone as MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV and OGG formatted songs can be played back on the phone’s dual speakers.
The phone will be introduced in Europe during the second half of 2006.
