Unreal engine to power 3D shooter game

Infinite Machine Inc. is licensing Epic Games’ Unreal gaming engine for its upcoming third-person 3D action shooter.

The game will be published by GT Interactive Software Corp. and released in 2000. Infinite Machine is a California-based game development house founded by Justin Chin, designer of Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, and Jedi Knight programmer Che-Yuan Wang.

The Unreal engine allows developers to create worlds with true 3D environments and dynamic lighting effects, along with the use of artificial intelligence, high-resolution graphics, texture mapping and multiplayer networking.

More on the Unreal engine is posted at http://www.epicgames.com. Infinite Machine’s web site is located at http://www.infinite-machine.com.
