Viking Components has released its Universal Serial Bus modem, available in PC and Macintosh versions.
With a space-saving vertical package design, the 56K USB modem offers plug-and-play and hot-swappable convenience and allows users to access servers and Internet Service Providers that support V.90 or K56Flex technology.
Priced at $119.99, Viking’s USB modems are based on Rockwell chip technology, and support Windows 98 and MacOS 8.5 or newer operating systems. Depending on the customer’s ISP configuration, Viking’s modem automatically switches to the V.90 or K56Flex protocol.
