iDOT.com launches low-cost, configurable PC

Price-sensitive PC users now have more options as iDOT.com offers a new V-Series of computers that is fully configurable and expandable.

The base system for the V-Series is retailing at $349. Called the 333M2 V, it comes with a Cyrix MII 333 processor, 3.2GB hard drive, 32MB of SDRAM, 24X CD-ROM, 3.5″ floppy drive, keyboard, mouse and Windows 98.

Customers build onto the base system according to their preferences. For example, an Internet bundle, which costs an additional $49.95, includes an internal v.90 56K capable modem, multimedia speakers, and Internet access. A 15″ monitor is available for $159, and a 17″ monitor is available for $249.

All systems come with a 1-year parts, 90-day labor limited warranty, plus 20 days of toll-free set-up assistance. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Customers can order both built-to-order and preset systems online at http://www.idot.com. Systems will ship in volume beginning on May 28.
